if they are slated to demo, and any are viable to be reused as a space, whether for art, or more likely, admin, classrooms ect. then i think it makes the ring scheme more interesting to keep them. if we decide they have no merit and would look like they were kept for the sake of keeping then i would go without. Im on the fence, but think that the ring scheme could read and quite "cold" and those would have the ability of "warming" it up.
i think we should definitely keep them, but i don't think the ring has to connect to them. i see them as 'activating' the village, as in animating the square, making you walk outside since they are the only part of the program that doesn't need the connection. i understand the risk of them becoming 'leftover' but that depends on their use i guess.
