Village Circulation Diagram

  1. correct me if I am wrong: so all the new bldgs are connected through an underground loop. and except for the galleries all can also be connected from the square. right?

it makes sense. is there any way we can move t2 somewhere further from t1? otherwise i guess you would come into the foyer, go to col, then t1&t2 and then come back rather then continue the loop. basically what i am saying: can we bring another public function to the w side of the site to balance the loop?

  2. We an continue to look at keeping T2 on the West, but the only public programs we can move would be the restaurant (classroom and auditorium need adjacency to foyer), and the restaurant needs a lake view so it'll stay towards the south.

    Or perhaps the Sauna?

  3. Sauana would be awesome. I had the same thought. It'ld be the 'quiet' or private part of the loop, where people run around naked (blond, blue eyed gorgeous people, duh!. just kidding. sort of.

  5. Besides the circulation (and making sure it's a loop, not a C), I feel the next biggest challenge is the image of the project. We wanted it to be sort of subtle and not to compete with manor, which I still think is good, but the risk is for them to feel they are not really getting a 'proper' building', that they get a couple of dispersed boxes.

I think it will come down a lot to the image of the main square and how that feels.
    good fridays everyone.
